Chartered helicopter of MPCL crashes in North Waziristan

In North Waziristan, a chartered helicopter of Mari Petroleum Company crashed due to a technical fault while taking off near Shewa oil field, resulting in the death of six people and injuries to eight others.

The injured have been taken to CMH Thal. The injured are being transported by helicopter from Thal.

According to sources, the crash was caused by engine failure and that no signs of sabotage were found.

An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
