CHAMAN: Provincial leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and elected MPA from Chaman, Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, has said that the demands of the Chaman’s protest sit-in would be brought into the notice of the authorities of federal government for redressal.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that different political parties were using the protest sit-in of Chaman against single document regime policy for their own political interests.

Mr Abdul said that some elements were even trying to exhort the protesters of Chaman sit-in to resort to violence in order to get the demands of the protesters addressed.

He said that violence would not address the problems rather it would further aggravate the situation in Chaman. He said that protesters had been observing protest sit-in patiently for the last many months, adding that he would try to get the demands of protesters addressed before the holy month Ramadan.

He said that the demands of the Chatman’s sit-in would be brought into the notice of the authorities of federal government for redressal.
