LARKANA:Sindh Government’s Home Department through an Order issued by its Section Officer-III, Sher Muhammad Noonari, has transferred and suspended Ashfaque Ahmed Kalwar, an officer of BPS-18 posted to work as Superintendent of Central Prison, Larkana with immediate effect “for the reason that he is involved in malpractices at his prison facilities”.
His headquarter shall be Home Department and he shall also be entitled to draw pay and allowances during the period of his suspension, as admissible under the rules, the order added.
Rumours in the city claimed that Kalwar has been suspended and transferred out of Larkana jail owing to the reason that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior recently met with Inayat Umrani allegedly with his permission who is facing three criminal cases of ransacking government property in Chandka Medical College Hospital after the death of his close relative in a snake bite case and threshing of medics and paramedics. Kalwar is said to have brought in order the hottest jail through his abilities and transferred inmates who were involved in creating unrest.
During his period repair and renovation work was also underway which was not carried out previously. After the meeting which was reported in the media, some quarters in the ruling party became angry and today he was targeted for political vendetta.
