Central JUI-F leader Hamdullah survives assassination attempt

KILLA ABDULLAH: Central JUI-F leader and former Senator Hafiz Hamdullah survived an assassination attempt near Turpull area in district Killa Abdullah on Wednesday.

According to details, unidentified assailants fired shots at the vehicle of Hafiz Hamdullah, senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl near Turpull area between Killa Abdullah and Maizai Ada in Balochistan province, however, Hafiz Hamdullah remained unhurt. The assailants managed to escape after the retaliatory firing.

Tense situation prevailed in in district Killa Abdullah amid general elections to be held tomorrow across the country.

Earlier today, 13 people were killed and 17 others injured in the bomb blast outside the election office of JUI-F in Killa Saifullah city while 12 were killed and more than 30 others injured in an alleged suicide attack at the election office of the candidate of Balochistan Awami Party in Khanozai.
