CDA Chairman directs to complete all development work in Sector C-14 by June

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Monday directed that all development work in Sector C-14, including roads, drainage, sewage, and streetlights, must be completed by June.

He was chairing a meeting to discuss sectors’ development progress, challenges, and future strategies. The meeting was attended by CDA Board members, senior engineering and estate wing officers, and other relevant officials.

The CDA Chairman emphasized the need to expedite the handover of plots to the allottees/ residents after payment of development charges.

It was said in the meeting that CDA will provide basic facilities to the overseas Pakistanis and issue demand notices for utility connections. New sectors will feature modern solar streetlights, horticulture, landscaping, and tree planting.

The CDA Chairman ordered strict action against encroachers, with no leniency. He said over 50% of road infrastructure work of Sector E-12 has been completed. He said plots will be handed over in phases after development work is completed.

It was stated in the meeting that earmarking of plots for mosques, schools, and hospitals in new sectors was approved. Weekly drone footage of development work will be shared on the CDA website and social media.

Signboards will be installed at plots and roads for citizens’ convenience. Chairman Randhawa stressed the importance of transparency and quality in sector development work.

He reiterated that providing better facilities to citizens is the top priority. He said he will personally oversee development activities in new sectors to ensure citizens receive quality facilities.
