Cancer Care for Needy Patients (CCNP), a prominent welfare organization dedicated to providing cancer treatment support to underprivileged individuals, has announced the launch of a nationwide cancer awareness campaign following a highlevel strategy meeting held here in Islamabad on Friday.
The session was chaired by CCNP Chairman Tanveer Baloch and attended by President Zaheer Alam, Secretary Hooria Ikram, and board members Masood Chaudhry, Adeel Shahid, Allah Dad Siddiqui, and Nouman Masood, according to a CCNP’s press release.
During the meeting, participants reviewed ongoing initiatives, evaluated project performance, and expressed satisfaction with the current pace and impact of operations. The leadership resolved to accelerate the implementation of projects and expand outreach to ensure broader access to cancer care across Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Tanveer Baloch and President Zaheer Alam reiterated CCNP’s commitment to providing equitable healthcare and emphasized the importance of a coordinated, dynamic approach to future planning.
‘The fight against cancer, especially among underprivileged communities, requires a collective response,’ said Baloch. ‘Be it through service, funding, or awareness, every contribution plays a vital role. Supporting those without access to treatment is not just a service-it’s a moral and social obligation.’
In a major announcement, CCNP unveiled plans for a nationwide cancer awareness campaign, with a special focus on breast cancer education. The campaign will include targeted outreach to female students through seminars in women’s universities, covering early detection, treatment options, and the importance of timely medical care.
The organization also plans to organize awareness walks and roadshows in major cities across the country. These events aim to engage diverse segments of society-including civil society groups, government officials, international representatives, journalists, students, and healthcare professionals-in a unified push to promote cancer awareness and prevention.
By integrating patient support with education and advocacy, CCNP continues to expand its footprint as a key player in Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
