HARNAI: Syed Noor Muhammad Shah, Chairman, Harnai Bachao Tehreek (HBT), has demanded of the authorities to get District Returning Officer (DRO), Harnai transferred forthwith.

Addressing a press conference at Harnai Press Club with other office bearers and workers of HBT here on Friday, he said that the ruling party of Balochistan government was violating rules and regulations prescribed by Election Commission of Pakistan for conducting local bodies election, but Deputy Commissioner, Harnai, who was also holding the charge of the post of District Returning Officer, Harnai, had kept a deaf ear to it despite the fact that the issue had already been brought into his notice.

He said that representative of ruling party were announcing development schemes during election campaign in different areas of Harnai, violating thereby rules and regulations of Election Commission of Pakistan, but DRO was taking no action. Condemning the inefficiency of Deputy Commissioner/District Returning Officer, Harnai, he called on authorities to get DRO, Harnai transferred forthwith.
