QUETTA: Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Khan Noorzai, President, Balochistan Darts Association, has called on the authorities to make an exclusive ministry of the sports in the country besides implementing the new national sports policy, which has been approved by the previous government.

These views were expressed by him while talking to the players of darts game who called on him at Moulana Niaz Muhammad Durrani Educational and Sports Complex, Pushtoon Dara, Pushtoonabad here on Sunday.

He said that sports sector, which is considered as the most important position in the western countries, is continuously being ignored in the country. He said that Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has been tasked with dealing the affairs of sports sector of the country at federal level, adding that a full fledged Ministry at federal level for looking after the affairs of sports sector in the country was required to be made so that concrete measures could be adopted for promotion of sports in the country.

Noorzai said that it is not known as to why new national sports policy, which was framed by the government of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, is not being implemented. He called on the authorities to make an exclusive Ministry of the sports in the country besides implementing the new national sports policy. On the occasion, Raees Saddam Khan, Treasurer, BDA, Saboor Abdali, Associate Secretary and others were also present.
