Quetta:Balochistan Pensioners Welfare Association Wednesday demanded of the authorities to grant 35 percent increase in the pensions of pensioners of the province from grade-1 to grade-16 and 30 percent increase in the salaries of pensioners from grade 17 to grade 22, end medical referral cases by increasing medical allowance to hundred percent and fix pensions at the rate of Rs.32,000 per month. These demands were made by Ghulam Muhammad, General Secretary, Balochistan Pensioners Welfare Association while addressing a press conference with others at Quetta Press Club.

He said that Balochistan High Court on September 22, 2022 had ordered to grant ten percent increase in the pensioners of Balochistan province, but instead of implementing verdict of the High Court of Balochistan, the government of Balochistan challenged the decision before the Supreme Court of Pakistan which was still subjudice before the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He demanded the authorities of the provincial government to withdraw the petition filed before the Supreme Court and implement the decision of Balochistan High Court so that pensioners of the province could be benefited.

He called on the authorities to grant 35 percent increase in the pensions of pensioners of the province from grade-1 to grade-16 and 30 percent increase in the salaries of pensioners from grade 17 to grade 22, end medical referral cases by increasing medical allowance to hundred percent and fix pensions at the rate of Rs.32,000 per month.
