LARKANA: In the oldest and largest Abu Bakar cemetery of Larkana city, the dirty water of rains and drains has not yet been removed due to the open negligence and sheer carelessness of the district and municipal administration, This was revealed during a visit to the graveyard on Friday.

As a result, thousands of graves have been torn down. Due to the constant standing water of the drains in the graves, cats and dogs started making their permanent homes in the broken graves. The desecration of the graves spread among the citizens. In the cemeteries, the graves of the dead have been desecrated by animals.

In this regard, Shiraz Ahmad Abbasi, a resident of Ahsan Colony, said that when we come to Abu Bakar cemetery to perform Fatiha on the graves of our parents, there is dirty water everywhere, so we cannot reach the graves of our elders and pray there. Zahid Ali Katpar, a resident of the area, said that the Larkana administration has reached the limit of indifference for more than 20 days.

The rains have stopped, but until now, due to the rains and drains not removing the dirty water from the Abu Bakar graveyard, dead bodies are visible from the graves and many graves are broken.

Dogs and cats have made their homes in human graves which is terrible. Citizens Ansar Ahmed Abbasi, Umair Ahmed, Aqeel Ahmed, Muhammad Aamir and others demanded from the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh to take notice of the desecration of the graves of thousands of graves and hundreds of saints, sufis, buried in this ancient Abu Bakar city of dead.
