QUETTA: Nur Khan Durrani, General Secretary, Muslim League-N Youth Wing Quetta city, independent candidate and Bismillah Khan Hamdard, independent candidate have demanded of the authorities to conduct fresh election in PB-41-Quetta instead of recounting of ballot papers.

This was demanded by them while addressing a press conference with social activists Mirza Khan and Wali Jan Hamdard at Quetta Press Club here on Monday.

They said that Polling Officer, Azizullah and Assistant Polling Officer, Aminullah were arrested with stamped ballot papers and were accordingly booked in First Information Report (FIR) which was enough to prove malpractice and rigging in PB-41-Quetta during election. They said that a person had been declared as winner from PB-41-Quetta against whom cases were pending before National Accountability, Balochistan, adding re-counting in PB-41 was not acceptable rather voters of PB-41 wanted re-election. They demanded of the authorities to conduct fresh election in PB-41-Quetta instead of recounting of ballot papers in PB-41-Quetta.
