QUETTA:Muhammad Naseem Kakar, resident of Hanna Urak, has called on the authorities to compensate the flood affected people of Hanna Urak, a suburb area of Quetta.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Monday, he said that the previous flood had wreaked havoc in Hanna Urak, destroying standing crops, orchards and gardens harvested on about 1500 acre areas. He said that government of Balochistan had declared Hanna Urak a disaster hit area and announced to compensate the affected families, but despite lapse of considerable period of time, neither the flood affectees had been compensated nor had the development work started in the areas affected by the floods.

He called on Governor Balochistan, Malak Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and other concerned authorities. to compensate the flood affected people of Hanna Urak, a suburb area of Quetta. On the occasion, Malik Muhammad Ayub, Molvi Ali Jan and others were also present.
