QUETTA:Nisar Yadgar Sarangzai, provincial leader Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Balochistan, Thursday called on the authorities to advertise the posts of Assistant Director Sports and District Officer lying vacant in different zones of Balochistan province.
In a statement, he said that Government of Balochistan forwarded requisition to Balochistan Public Service Commission for filling vacant posts of Assistant Director Sports and District Sports Officer one year ago, but despite lapse of considerable period of time, vacant posts of Sports and Youth Affairs Department had not been advertised by BPSC, adding that it had been learnt that Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Balochistan and Director General, Balochistan Sports Board, Quetta did not want to get the vacant posts of sports department advertised due to unknown reasons.
He said that poor performance of the teams of Balochistan province during 34th national games, 2023 held in Quetta from May 12, 2023 to May 30, 2023 was due to the dearth of technical staff in Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Balochistan. He said that poor performance of the authorities of Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Balochistan could be judged from the fact that in that era of technology, website of Sports and Youth Affairs Department had not yet been designed.
He called on the authorities to direct the authorities of Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Balochistan to get website designed, so that citizens of Balochistan could know about the activities of Sports and Youth Affairs, Balochistan. He said that the incumbent Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Balochistan and Director General, Balochistan Sports Board had brought sports department to the verge of ruination.
Demanding the authorities to get the posts of Assistant Director Sports and District Sports Officer lying vacant in different zones of the province advertised, he demanded Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Governor Balochistan, Malak Abdul Wali Khan Kakar and Chief Secretary, Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili to transfer Secretary, Sports Department and Director General, Balochistan Sports Board, Quetta immediately.
