Former Balochistan Chief Minister and National Party chief, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, on Wednesday said that no one is free in Balochistan, and rulers of Islamabad will have to change their mindset as colonial mindset can no longer work.
Addressing a condolence reference at Quetta Press Club to pay tribute to Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, he said: ‘I told Prime Minister Shahab Sharif that owing to your policies, young generation of Balochistan was going away from you.’
He said that bureaucracy was being transferred on chits. He said that for addressing the issues of Balochistan, peaceful and democratic movement was essential.
He said that rulers of Islamabad would have to change their mindset as colonial mindset could no longer work. Baloch said that sea and resources of Balochistan were liked by the rulers, but they were not ready to give justice to the people of Balochistan.
Baloch said for a peaceful Balochistan, the right of the people of Balochistan on their coast and resources needs to be accepted, adding that such an environment was essential to be created to address the issue of missing persons for good. He called for resolving insurgency issue through negotiations and provide jobs to the youth of the province on merit.
