Burglars loot Rs1.2m, gold from house in Larkana

LARKANA: Unknown armed thieves barged into the house of one Hafiz Nawaz Memon in Garhibabad locality of Waleed police station limits and stole eight tola gold, Rs1.2 million cash and other valuables in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Nawaz Memon told reporters that their locality had arsenic underground water issue and due to loadshedding, they went to sleep when electricity was restored at 2 am after filling the water tank. He said when they woke up in the morning, they found their goods missing. He said he immediately informed the cops at 15 but only two constables reached and said their SHO is sleeping hence fingerprints cannot be obtained till he wakes up.

He said lawlessness has created a lot of problems for the residents and they feel entirely insecure. He said police petrol is just for recreation purposes as it has failed to wipe out crimes, eliminate criminals and curb their gangs. He said how long the denizens of Larkana district will continue to be looted and kept at the mercy of outlaws and gangsters.

He warned if stolen goods are not recovered within 24 hours then we will not sit silently. He urged the DIGP and SSP Larkana to take notice, arrest the accused thieves and recover stolen material and dispense justice.
