BPWA calls to fixing quota for children of pensioners in educational, vocational institutions

QUETTA: Balochistan Pensioners Welfare Association (BPWA) has demanded of the authorities to fix quota for the children of pensioners in educational and vocational institutions of the country.

This and similar other demands were made in the joint meeting of Balochistan Pensioners Welfare Association and Civil Secretariat Welfare Association Quetta held here on Thursday under the leadership of Dur Muhammad Bughti, President, BPWA.

Meeting thoroughly deliberated upon the issues, including ambiguity in benevolent fund meant for pensioners of Balochistan, lump sum payment of arrears and housing scheme for pensioners of the province. It was decided to hire the services of a lawyer for filing a case before Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding 10 percent increase in the pension from July 2022. Fateha for the departed soul of the brother of Dur Muhammad Bughti, President, BPWA was also offered.
