Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that both tracks of the Qaidabad Bridge and road leading to the bridge have been repaired and resurfaced, and are now open for traffic.
According to KMC informqtion today, he said that this will provide relief to citizens traveling to and from Qaidabad, Landhi, Port Qasim, and other industrial and residential areas, solving the issues caused by the dilapidated condition of the road. The construction work on the road from Anwar Baloch Hotel to Murghi Khana Bus Stop has been completed swiftly, with the aim of providing convenience to citizens in the shortest possible time. All available resources are being used for the service of the people of Karachi. The repair and restoration work on Karachi’s major roads and highways, which were affected by rains and other factors, is proceeding at a fast pace, and additional construction projects under the provincial annual development program will soon commence in Karachi.
He made these remarks while reviewing the restoration work of both tracks of the Qaidabad Bridge. Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab further said that the Engineering Department of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has not only repaired and resurfaced both routes of the Qaidabad Bridge from Anwar Baloch Hotel to Murghi Khana Bus Stop but also improved the bridge for traffic. This will reduce the travel time for commuters passing through this area, save fuel, and help in avoiding traffic jams. He thanked the citizens for their cooperation during the road construction and stated that taking note of the dilapidated condition of the bridge and road in the area, he had directed the Engineering Department to immediately carry out repairs and resurfacing of the road from Anwar Baloch Hotel to Murghi Khana Bus Stop to address the problems faced by citizens.
He added that this road construction would also benefit citizens using the Malir Nadi Bridge, providing them with easier access. Mayor Murtaza Wahab instructed the Engineering Department to expedite the ongoing road repair and construction work throughout the city, making full use of available resources and manpower. Improving the city’s basic infrastructure is essential to making the city more beautiful and green, as well as tackling environmental pollution and other challenges. He emphasized that with the cooperation of the provincial government, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation is implementing an effective strategy for the city’s development projects, making every effort to complete ongoing projects on time and provide maximum facilities to the citizens while maintaining high standards in construction.
