QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) said on Friday that a death squad had been activated through a well-planned conspiracy to stop the way of its leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal.

A BNP-M statement said that all conscious people of the Balochistan province were aware of past and present of those who were filing appeals against Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal before the courts of law and were propagating on media against the leader of the party.

The party said that the hands of those were stained with the blood of innocent Balochistanis, adding that joint investigation team in its findings had held them accountable for Tutak incident, target killing of levies personnel and carrying out suicide attacks.

Condemning propaganda campaign against Mengal, the statement said that the life of Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal was like an open book.

The party added said that the status of the head of death squad and their puppets was to known to all, adding that sacrifices rendered by Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal and is family were not hidden from anyone.
