Blocking opponents’ way will raise questions on poll transparency: JI leader

BADIN: Central vice-chairman of Jamaat-e-Islami and former MNA Asadullah Bhutto said on Tuesday that building a hung and rubber-stamp parliament is not in the interest of the country and the nation.

“Cracking down on opponents and blocking their way will raise questions on the transparency of the upcoming election. Jamaat-e-Islami participates in the upcoming elections for supremacy of the Islam because we want revolution through elections, not only to win seats but also to convey our message to the people,” he said while addressing a election review meeting.

Naib Amir JI district and PS-71 candidate Allah Bachao Haleputa, NA-223 candidate Maulana Muhammad Musa Mallah and local party Amir Fateh Khan Khosa were also present in the meeting. Asadullah Bhutto further said that yesterday the New Year was celebrated all over the world, but in Palestine and Kashmir, Holi was being played with the blood of Muslims.

He said that on the first day of the new year, more than a hundred Palestinians were martyred in the Israeli bombing. The Muslim rulers have become the practical image of criminal silence and indifference on this cruelty, so the people should elect an honest leaders in the upcoming elections who could also speak for the Ummah including Palestine and Kashmir.
