The United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres says the unprecedented agreement on the resumption of Ukrainian grain exports via the Black Sea amid the ongoing war is a beacon of hope in a world that desperately needs it.
Speaking after inking the deal in Istanbul, he thanked Türkiye for its facilitation and persistence in the signing of the grain deal.
The UN Secretary General said it will bring relief for developing countries on the edge of bankruptcy and the most vulnerable people on the edge of famine.
