GWADAR: PPP leader and former Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said on Monday that situation was not so bad that elections could not be held.
Talking to media after offering Fateha for the departed soul of the father of Ex-MPA Mir Hammal Kalmati, central leader of Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Bizenjo said the next government in Balochistan would be formed by the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Turning direction from Balochistan Awami Party to PPP was to highlight the problems of Balochistan while remaining in a big political party, he said, adding that he found PPP better than other political parties of the country.
Bizenjo said that PPP had taken several steps, including 18th Constitutional Cmendments, Balochistan package and NFC Award. He said that he was not in favour of the notion to postpone the election, adding that during the worst chaotic situation in 2013, timely elections were held.
The ex-CM said: “Election should be conducted on February 8.” He said that with the exception of border trade, better employment opportunities were not available in Balochistan, adding, “Our government made border trade effective but the caretaker government left people unemployed by closing the border business.”
