Bilawal Seeks Global Support for Pakistan’s Peace Efforts Through Dialogue

In a compelling appeal for international backing, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, head of the parliamentary delegation and Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), called on the global community to support Pakistan’s pursuit of peace through dialogue and diplomacy.

Addressing a gathering organized by the Pakistani Embassy in Washington DC, he emphasized the critical role of comprehensive dialogue in achieving enduring peace in South Asia.

In light of the recent tensions between Pakistan and India, Bilawal underscored Pakistan’s responsible approach in dealing with the situation. He commended the bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the nation against hostility and lauded the efforts of Pakistani diplomatic missions in projecting the country”s stance effectively on the international platform.

Highlighting the significance of the Pakistani diaspora in the United States, Bilawal urged them to actively engage in fostering peace and prosperity between the two countries. He described the community as a crucial link in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing mutual interests.

Meanwhile, Musadik Malik, the Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, addressed concerns over India’s regional objectives. He criticized India’s narrative as being based on suspicion rather than evidence and accused Indian military actions of targeting civilians, including children. Malik praised Pakistan’s resilience and noted its success in countering aggression on all fronts.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, echoed this sentiment, asserting that Pakistan’s unity and commitment to dialogue demonstrate its resolve. He vowed to continue promoting Pakistan’s position on the world stage.

The event saw participation from community leaders and notable figures from various fields, who expressed their steadfast support for Pakistan”s government and military. They reiterated their dedication to furthering Pakistan”s objectives and ensuring continued progress.
