KARACHI:The price of gold witnessed a big increase in Pakistan after seeing the high rates of yellow metal in the international market on Friday. According to a report, the price of 24-karat of pure gold increased by Rs1100 per tola to reach Rs2,18,600 per tola in the Pakistani yellow metal bazaar.

The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) shows the price of 10 grams of 24 Karats gold increased by Rs943 to settle at Rs1,87,414 per 10-gram. The price of 10 grams of 22 karats of gold also increased and settled at Rs1,71,796 per 10 grams.

In the international market, the commodity price decreased by US$7 to reach $2,034 per ounce. Meanwhile, 24-karat silver prices in the domestic market increased by Rs20 per tola to Rs2,570 per tola and the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs17.15 to Rs2203.36 per 10 grams.
