KARACHI: The government has decided to keep 14 banks open on Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26, in order to accept Hajj applications.
Applications of the pilgrims are being accepted in 14 banks’ designated branches under the government scheme. The last date for submitting Hajj applications is March 31, according to official information on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), State Bank should direct these banks to remain open even on weekly holidays to accept Hajj applications. The 14 banks are Habib Bank, United Bank, National Bank, MCB Bank, Allied Bank, ADBP, Bank of Punjab, Mezan Bank, Alfalah Bank, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Soneri Bank, Faysal Bank, Askari Bank and Bank Alhabib.
