QUETTA: Hafiz Khalilullah, Chairman, Pakistan Youth Ittehad, has called on the higher authorities to impose ban on bike racing and lodged FIRs against those who defied the ban.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Monday with the representatives of different political parties, students Unions and social organizations, he said that motorcycle racing on Dasht Road, Airpor Road, Hanna Urak Road, Kuchlak Road and other areas of Quetta had taken the lives of many youths.
He alleged that police and levies of the mentioned areas received twenty-five thousand to thirty thousand rupees to grant permission to youth for bike racing. He called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta and other concerned authorities to impose ban on bike racing in Quetta.
On the occasion, Mufti Abdul Wahid Bazai, Provincial Ameer, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Nazriyati), Zubair Khan Bareach, Vice President, PPP, Quetta city, Idrees Taj, Provincial leader, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Qari Naeemullah, Chairman, Ittehad-e-Iqra, Pakistan, Samiullah Khan Niazi, leader of Balochistan Youth, Molvi Muhammad Arif, leader of Jamiat Tulaba-e-Islam, Hafiz Aminullah, leader of Jamiat Tulaba-e-Islam (Nazriyati), Naeem Sikandar, Provincial leader of Muslim League-N and others were also present.
