Quetta: Government of Balochistan has notified names of returned candidates of chairman and vice chairman of local councils, union councils and urban councils of different districts of Balochistan, ceasing administrators of local councils appointed in absence of the chairman local councils to hold their respective offices.

A notification issued by Local Government, Rural Development and Agrovilles Department on March 08, 2023 says, “Consequent upon Election Commission of Pakistan’s notification, dated 23rd February, 2023, notifying names of returned candidates of Chairman and Vice Chairman of Local Councils (Union Councils and Urban Councils) of districts Pisihin, Chaman, Killa Abdullah, Noshki, Chagai, Kharan, Washuk, Zhob, Sherani, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, Barkhan, Musakhail, Duki, Sibi, Harnai, Ziarat, Kohlu, Dera Bughti, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Usta Muhammad, Suhbat Pur, Kachhi, Jhal Magsi, Kalat, Khuzdar, Surab, Mastung, Awaran, Kech, Panjgur and Gwadar, the Government of Balochistan, Local Government, Rural Development and Agrovilles hereby notifies that all the Administrators of Local Councils, appointed in absence of the Chairman, Local Councils, shall cease to hold their respective offices, except Administrators of those local councils where election of Chairman/ Vice Chairman have not been held yet”.
