Balochistan fixes commodity price rates

QUETTA: Balochistan government Friday fixed the prices of essential items of daily use in Quetta district and its cantonment area for the month of June.

According to a notification issued by Directorate General Industries and Commerce on June 18, 2021, “The Director Industries and Commerce/ Chairman, District Price Control Committee, Quetta is pleased to fix the price of the under mentioned essential items of daily use in Quetta district and cantonment Area with immediate effect (only for the Month of June):

Rates per kg are as: Dall Mung (Peshawari) Rs240, Daal Channa (Kajoo) Rs220, Daal Channa (Normal) Rs140, Daal Masoor (Polished) Rs160, Daal Mash (Special) Rs290, Daal Mash (Normal) Rs260, Channa White (Irani) Rs120, Channa white (Turkey) Rs130, Channa white (American) Rs160, Lobia white Rs180, Lobia red Rs180, Lobia red (commando) Rs215, rice super kernal basmati (steamed) Rs180, rice super kernal basmati (plain) Rs160, rice 86 basmati old Rs110, rice tota basmati Rs100, rice tota basmati (irri) Rs65, vegetable ghee branded Rs245, vegetable ghee local Rs190, Vegetable oil branded Rs230, vegetable oil local Rs240, milk (dairy farm supplier) Rs107, milk (retailer) Rs120, sugar Rs90, mutton (Pahari Bakra) Rs1100, mutton (Bhair, Dumba) Rs850, Rs250, beef (boneless) Rs580, beef with bone Rs480, curd (dahee) Rs130, and ghee (local) Rs280.

According to the notification, the price list of above items shall permanently be displayed by the dealer in their shops. No person shall sell the essential commodity at the price higher than the maximum price given in this notification.

The defaulter shall be punishable under section 13 of the Balochistan Essential Articles (Price Control and Anti-Hoarding Act, 1977. Any shopkeeper not displaying the price list at their shop will be punishable under section (3) and Balochistan Essential Article Act.
