QUETTA:Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claimed to have seized foreign goods worth 240 million in different operations conducted by the Field Enforcement Unit of Collectorate of Customs in Kolpur, Noshki, Lakpass, Ziarat cross and other areas of Balochistan province on Monday.

A statement issued by the spokesman for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan says that Field Enforcement Unit, Kolpur under the supervision of Senior Inspector Tanveer seized large quantity of Indian Gutka worth 90 million in an operation conducted in Kolpur. Foreign goods, including clothes, tyres, edible oil, non-customs-paid vehicles, large quantities sugar and fertiliser worth Rs. 90 million were seized by the Field Enforcement Unit, Lakpass in an operation conducted under the supervision of Fareed Rind, Incharge, Preventive Centre in Lakpass area of Balochistan. Similarly, thousands of bags of sugar and fertiliser were seized by the staff of Hasas Customs Check Post, Noshki in an operation conducted under the supervision of Inspector Ayaz Khan in Noshki area of the province.

Moreover, five non-customs-paid vehicles worth millions of rupees were seized by the staff of Field Enforcement Unit in an operation conducted in Ziarat Cross area of district Ziarat. Operations were conducted in compliance with the directives of Irfanullah Khan, Collector, Enforcement, Quetta. Further investigation was underway.
