QUETTA:All Pakistan Clerks Association, Balochistan, on Friday demanded to get the salaries of provincial government employees increased in proportion to inflation.
This demand was made in the protest demonstration held under the auspices of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Quetta Balochistan outside Quetta Press Club.
Addressing the participants of protest demonstration, speakers said employees of the government of Balochistan were drawing lesser salaries than the employees of other sister provinces. Demanding the authorities to remove discrepancies in the salaries of government employees, they said if salaries of Balochistan government’s employees were not increased, protest movement would be launched. Protest demonstration was addressed by Dad Muhammad Baloch, President, All Pakistan Clerks Association, Balochistan and others.
Earlier, APCA, Balochistan took out protest rally from the lawn of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation. Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans “increase salaries of the government employees in proportion to inflation”, “end inflation”, “remove discrepancies in salaries” and “increase in the prices of petroleum products is not acceptable”, participants of rally marched through Anscomb Road, Qandhari Bazar, Adalat Road and reached outside Quetta Press Club where a protest demonstration was held. Chanting slogans in support of their demands, protesters dispersed peacefully.
