Bahawalpur police arrested ice drugs dealer

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur Police has arrested an accused and recovered ice drugs worth of millions of rupees from his possession on Thursday.

Spokesperson Bahawalpur said, Saddar Police Station Bahawalpur arrested the accused Muhammad Asim and recovered 160 grams of ice worth millions of rupees from his possession. He informed that accused used to supply ice drugs to students and educational institutions.

Earlier, the Bahawalpur police had conducted a raid against the ice and recovered a large quantity of ice and sent the accused behind the bars. He further informed that drive against drugs continued across Bahawalpur on the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani and Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Capt. R. Zafar Iqbal Awan.

Speaking on the occasion, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Faisal Kamran said that ice is a drug whose devastating effects are very long lasting and dangerous, and unfortunately our young generation is falling prey to it. It is important to root out the criminal elements that supply and sale of ice drugs.
