Bagh-e-Jinnah will be made a world-class garden: CM

KARACHI: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited Lahore’s famous Bagh-e-Jinnah (formerly known as Lawrence Garden) and reviewed the overall arrangements and condition of the garden.

During his visit, the CM said that Bagh-e-Jinnah will be made a world-class garden and he sought a plan in this regard. Mohsin Naqvi also inspected the surroundings of Baba Turt Murad Shah’s shrine located inside Bagh-e-Jinnah.

The Chief Minister visited different parts of Bagh-e-Jinnah and expressed his displeasure over dirt and disorder at the garden’s rear side. CM Naqvi ordered to abolish unnecessary offices in Bagh-e-Jinnah.

A plan for the upgradation of Bagh-e-Jinnah should be prepared and submitted in a few days, the Chief Minister directed DG Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).

Mohsin Naqvi directed to upgrade Bagh-e-Jinnah on the style of London Gardens. Provincial Ministers Aamir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Bilal Afzal, Secretaries Wildlife, Construction and Communications, DG Wildlife, DG PHA and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.

CM likely to visit Nishtar Hospital

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi is likely to visit Nishtar Hospital 2 Multan today. Sources said the Chief Minister during his visit will also lay foundation stone of flyover in Chak SR. The Punjab Chief Minister will also visit University of Science and Technology, Cardiology Hospital, Children’s Hospital and Nishtar Hospital.
