ISLAMABAD: Azad Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has reiterated the necessity for the Kashmir issue to be resolved in alignment with the desires and aspirations of its people. In his address at a seminar marking Right to Self-Determination Day, President Chaudhry emphasized the enduring sacrifices made by the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their pursuit of self-determination.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Chaudhry highlighted the commitment of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle until Kashmir is liberated from what he described as illegal Indian occupation. He further asserted that the ultimate goal of this struggle is for the entire region of Kashmir to become part of Pakistan.

President Chaudhry’s remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the region, where the demand for self-determination has been a longstanding issue. His statements underscore the continued resistance and determination among the Kashmiri population to achieve autonomy and align with Pakistan. The seminar served as a platform to draw attention to these demands and to commemorate the sacrifices made by those in IIOJK.
