Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Minister for Social Welfare and Women’s Development, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, has been awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. This honor was bestowed upon him by the President of Pakistan and Chief Scout of Pakistan at a ceremony presided over by Sahibzada Sajjad Masood Chishti, Senior Most Leader Trainer and Secretary Finance of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA).
Upon his arrival at Cadet College Batrasi, the guest of honor, Mr. Naqvi, was received by Deputy Secretary Scouts, Mr. Daniyal Mumtaz, who presented him with a scarf in the colors of the Azad Kashmir flag. Provincial Secretary Tahir Masood Chughtai and Commissioner Training and Youth Program, Abdul Samad Chishti, also presented him with bouquets. The college’s scout contingent presented him with a guard of honor.
The Minister inspected a plaque commemorating the establishment of the college by the late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, which was one of her notable achievements. He also visited the shrine of Shaheed Captain Usman and participated in a group photo.
During a brief visit to the guest room, Mr. Naqvi exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and the ongoing development of the college with Sahibzada Sajjad Masood Chishti and National Secretary PBSA, Professor Nek Akhtar Javed. The conversation also touched upon the association of Mr. Naqvi’s late uncle, Syed Shaukat Hussain Naqvi, former Deputy Speaker of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, with the college.
