Awareness Seminar Held on Child Labor

The Sindh government’s Department of Human Rights organized an awareness seminar on the topic of child labor. The seminar was titled “Understanding Children’s Rights and Securing the Future.” Its aim was to raise awareness against child labor and provide information about relevant laws.

The program was presided over by Rajveer Singh Sodha, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Human Rights. The seminar affirmed the government’s commitment to the protection of children and their fundamental rights.

The Secretary of the Department of Human Rights, Akram Ali Khwaja, welcomed all the guests, while Director Agha Fakhar Hussain thanked all the attendees at the end. Both emphasized the importance of taking practical steps against child labor.

Speakers at the seminar included Deputy Commissioner South Karachi Mr. Javed Nabi Khoso, DSP Human Rights Sindh Muhammad Zulfiqar, ASP Bilawal Kanbhar, Labor Department Officer Rijho Mal Sanjnani, and others. They highlighted the legal, social, and economic aspects of children’s rights.

The event was attended by a large number of individuals from various sectors, including civil society, human rights activists, media, and government representatives.
