Aurangzeb Engages with U.S. Development Finance Corporation for Enhanced Sectoral Projects

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, engaged with representatives of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation in Washington, D.C. This meeting aimed to seek expedited support for priority private sector-led projects across multiple sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted the alignment between the DFC's focus areas-such as ports, telecommunications, information technology, energy, minerals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and supply-chain development-and Pakistan's development priorities. The discussions emphasized the need for support in energy, information technology, infrastructure, minerals, and food and agriculture sectors.

The meeting also explored the potential for establishing a DFC presence in Pakistan and engaging with future U.S. congressional delegations to strengthen bilateral ties and collaborative opportunities.
