Article 370 abrogation described bid to impose Hindu officers on Kashmiris

The Grand Mufti of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, said today that the abrogation of Article 370 was never intended to bring peace or development to the territory, instead, its true purpose was to impose Hindu officers, such as Patwaris, Tehsildars, and other officials, over the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a gathering in Srinagar, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam emphasized that Kashmiris will never tolerate the ongoing injustices against them. He urged Indian forces’ personnel to fulfill their duties without subjecting our mothers and sisters to humiliation by dragging them from vehicles.

He further highlighted a concerning development where India is opening liquor shops in the occupied territory as part of a sinister conspiracy. He warned that Kashmiri youth are being pushed towards drug addiction and moral decay, which threatens the fabric of the younger generation. Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam called upon parents to vigilantly monitor their children to protect them from falling into such traps.

The Grand Mufti also urged Imams and religious scholars to transcend sectarian divisions and focus on teaching the true principles of the Quran and Sunnah. He stressed that the youth must be guided to live according to Islamic values. By steadfastly adhering to our religious teachings, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam stated the community can effectively counter the enemy’s conspiracies.
