Police constable shot dead a prisoner accused of blasphemy in the lock up of Police Station Quetta Cantt on Thursday.

According to police, police constable Syed Khan Sirhadi gunned down a person namely Abdul Ali alias Lala son of Abdul Baqi accused of blasphemy at Police Station Quetta Cantt.

It is pertinent to mention that a man namely Abdul Ali alias Lala son of Abdul Baqi resident of Kharotabad was arrested by authorities of Police Station Kharotabad after his video went viral uttering blasphemous remarks about Prophet Muhammad-PBUH.

The accused was booked in FIR No.227/24 under section 295C-34 at Police Station Kharotabad Quetta and was later shifted to Police Station Quetta Cantt for security after large number of people tried to enter police station Kharotabad.
