Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Friday gave heartiest congratulations to Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem on his phenomenal achievement at the Paris Olympics.
In a statement, she said his historic gold medal and Olympic record is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the limitless potential of our nation’s youth.
Shaza Fatima said under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan has consistently supported our athletes, as evidenced by the strong backing during the Commonwealth Games and Islamic Solidarity Games in 2022.
She said in this year June, Arshad Nadeem received significant financial support from the government for his medical treatments and surgery in UK through the federation, along with a financial reward for his silver medal win at the World Athletics Championships in 2023.
Shaza Fatima said this unwavering support of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif continues today and will persist in the future, ensuring that our sportsmen and women have the resources they need to excel on the world stage.
