RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army solider was martyred during a gun battle between terrorists and security forces which took place in North Waziristan District, ISPR reported on Friday. According to a statement issued by the ISPR on Friday, the shootout took place in general area of Mir Ali and security forces personnel fought bravely and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Irshadullah (age 29 years, resident of District Karak), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom. The ISPR further said: “Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found there.”
Terrorist killed in Sibbi IBO
An intelligence-based operation (IBO) has been initiated to intercept a group of terrorists operating in general area Noshman, south of Sibbi. According to ISPR, the Terrorists were linked with targeting of civilians in the area besides harassment of coalmine owners. Based on credible information, multiple ambushes had been laid along different routes in the area frequented by terrorists for last two days.
Resultantly, a party of three terrorists was intercepted while moving towards their hideout. On being blocked, they opened fire on the security forces. During ensuing heavy exchange of fire, one terrorist has been killed while two others have been injured. A cache of arms and ammunition has also been recovered. Pakistan Army, in step with the nation, remains determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
