APHC urges people to honor Syed Ali Gilani on martyrdom anniversary

All Parties Hurriyet Conference today urged the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir to visit the grave of Syed Ali Gilani at Hyderpora in Srinagar on Sunday to pay tribute to the iconic resistance leader on his 3rd martyrdom anniversary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders, including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Ghulam Nabi War, Farida Behanji, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Farida Behanji, Yasmeen Raja, Hafza Bano and Bashir Andaribi highlighted the martyred leader’s peerless contribution and his indomitable role in the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for the right to self-determination. They said that Syed Ali Gilani was an epitome of honesty and integrity who devoted his entire life to the Kashmir cause. He was truly an iron man of Kashmir who never compromised on his principled stance on the Kashmir dispute despite facing trials and tribulations at the hands of the Indian authorities.

The leaders stated that Syed Ali Gilani would be remembered forever in the history of Kashmir as a hero who championed the Kashmiris’ legitimate cause with utmost courage and fearlessness. They appealed to the people of Kashmir to visit the Hyderpora graveyard to pay homage to the great leader who stood for the plebiscite and political future of Kashmiris. They also urged imams and ulema to offer special prayers in mosques for the martyred leader.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leaders, including Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Adv Pervaiz Shah, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Shameem Shawl, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Imtiyaz Wani, Mushtaq Hussain Gilani, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Abdul Majeed Lone, and others, in their statements in Islamabad said that the veteran leader’s struggle, courage, and sacrifices will continue to inspire the oppressed and weak nations worldwide.

They added that Syed Ali Gilani’s mission and ideals are alive and will remain alive, and he will be remembered as a great leader of the past and present century. APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi also urged the international community and world human rights organizations to force India to stop its state terrorism in IIOJK.
