LARKANA:Members of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Works and Services Department Unit, held a protest demonstration outside the office of Executive Engineer, Highways Division, here on Monday after falling cement bars in the office of their Executive Engineer. They shouted slogans against the government failure to repair and renovate their office which was massively damaged during recent devastating rain.
Mubeen Buriro, Manzoor Mirani, Nazir Aheer, Muhammad Bux Kumbhar and others said that walls and roofs of their Sindh government offices and quarters have become weak and were in dangerous condition after recent unprecedented rain over five months ago for which they repeatedly approached deputy commissioner’s and Superintendent Engineer, Jaleel Ahmed Shaikh to get them repaired and renovated but till todate nothing has been done resulting fall of cement bars today In the office of Executive Engineer, Bahawaldim Shaikh, but fortunately no damage was done to human lives.
They said the family members of the officers and clerks are extremely worried about those who are staying at the quarters which too have become very weak due to bad conditions because their lives are also at stake and at any time any fatal incident could happen. They demanded immediate repair and renovation of government offices and quarters to save precious lives.
