Anti-people budget will not be accepted at any cost: MPA

QUETTA: Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, opposition leader in Balochistan Provincial Assembly has said that anti-people budget would not be accepted at any cost, adding that Balochistan Provincial would be besieged on Friday (today) against unjust distribution of development funds in the constituencies of opposition members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly through unelected persons.

He said that no member of treasury benches would be permitted to enter into the building of Balochistan Provincial Assembly during the budget session. Addressing a press conference in the protest camp set up by opposition parties outside Balochistan Provincial Assembly, he said main highways of the province remained closed from 7:00 am to 02:00 pm against the behaviour of the provincial government.

Advocate said, “We are political workers and believe in staging a protest in accordance with democratic norms and traditions”. He said people of the province and government employees had rejected the budget of the provincial government, adding that undemocratic behaviour of the government was not acceptable to them. He said that it was the budget of the Chief Minister’s house.

No member of the treasury benches would be allowed to enter into the premises of Balochistan Provincial Assembly on Friday (today) during budget session as the building of Balochistan Provincial Assembly would be besieged against unjust distribution of development funds in the constituencies of opposition members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly through unelected persons, said Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate. On the occasion MPAs Malik Naseer Shahwani, Nasrullah Zairay, Haji Nawaz Kakar, Mir Zahid Reki, Syed Azizullah Agha, Akbar Mengal and others were also present.
