Minister for States and Frontier Regions Engineer Amir Muqam has condemned the manhandling of protesting teachers by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government.
He was addressing a news conference, along with Member of the National Assembly Mubarak Zeb, here in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Minister said the actions and statements of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government are full of contradictions. On one hand, its Chief Minister declares protest as their constitutional right, while on the other, they threaten punitive actions like suspension against teachers.
He said this approach of the provincial government towards teachers is condemnable. Expressing solidarity with the teachers, Amir Muqam said his party will continue raising its voice for their rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Mubarak Zeb said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has failed to arrest the assassins of his brother even after the passage of eight months.
He said the Federal Government would soon announce a special package for the development of Bajaur district.
