DALBANDIN: Vehicles have been verified by the district administration for bringing diesel from the the Rotuk crossing points, but permission was not even granted to the verified vehicles to bring diesel from Rotuk crossing points along Pak-Iran border, therefore, All Zambad Union decided to block Pak-Iran National Highway of Dalbandin in support of its demand.
These views were expressed by speakers on Wednesday while addressing the protestors who had staged protest sit-in at Pak-Iran national highway in Dalbandin area of district Chagai in Balochistan province on the call of All Zambat Union.
They said ban imposed on bringing diesel from Rutak crossing point along Pak-Iran border left owners of Zambat vehicles jobless, adding that district administration Chagai had been paying lip service for the last two years instead of addressing the issue.
They said that highway would remain closed for all kinds of vehicular traffic till the acceptance of the demands of All Zambat Union. Protesters were addressed by leaders of All Zambat Union, Qasim Khan, Jamal-ud-Din, Muhammad Qadeer and others. Long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway could be seen, stranding hundreds of passengers, including women, children and ill. Highway remained blocked till filing this report.
