ISLAMABAD: All is set for five-day anti-polio campaign across Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). The campaign will continue from October 2 to October 6, 2023.
According to an official report quoting the Chief Secretary Office, the government appealed scholars, political and social personalities, and media to joint authorities to make this campaign successful.
During the campaign children up to 5 years of age will be given polio vaccine and vitamin A as well. The administration is continuing to give polio shots to young children, and in this regard, instructions have been issued to all relevant institutions to ensure vaccination throughout the district.
In the 5-day anti-polio campaign in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, more than 250 thousand children under five years of age will be vaccinated.
In order to make this campaign success, all Deputy Commissioners of the region, including scholars, political and social personalities, print, electronic and social media representatives have also been appealed to play their positive role in making this campaign successful.
