Lahore:Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has emphasized the need for setting aside political differences to collectively address the resurgence of terrorism and safeguard Pakistan's national interests.

According to Radio Pakistan, Malik, speaking at a ceremony in Lahore, highlighted the emergence of a new wave of terrorism and commended the Pakistan Army for its efforts in combating this threat. He called on all stakeholders to focus on national unity and prioritize the country's interests over internal disputes.

Discussing economic concerns, Malik acknowledged the hardships caused by rising petroleum prices. He assured that the government is committed to transferring any reductions in international oil prices to consumers promptly. Additionally, he noted that the Prime Minister has already reduced petrol prices by one hundred rupees per liter as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the financial burden on the public.
