Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Party leader Sardar Hassan Ibrahim Khan met at Kashmir House in Islamabad to strategize on highlighting the Kashmir issue globally. Both leaders expressed their resolve to explore all possible avenues to draw attention towards the disputed territory from the “base camp of freedom”.
President Chaudhry lauded former US President Donald Trump’s offer of mediation, stating it had already garnered significant international attention to the issue. He urged all political groups in AJK to unite in their efforts to raise global awareness.
The AJK President emphasized the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue for regional stability. He warned of the precarious situation given the nuclear capabilities of both India and Pakistan, stressing that any escalation in the disputed region could have devastating consequences.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the prevailing political environment in AJK.
