AJK: Law Violations, Forced Closures Reported in Poonch

Islamabad: In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, severe violations of law and incidents of committing heinous crimes by the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee have been reported across various parts of District Poonch.

According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson of the Rawalakot District Administration stated that armed gangs have established barricaded positions in Rawalakot city and surrounding areas, specifically from Chandni Chowk to D-Chowk and the bus terminal. These armed groups have set up illegal blockades, forcibly disrupting traffic while assaulting and misbehaving with government employees.

Furthermore, these armed elements are forcibly shutting down both public and private educational institutions through threats and intimidation. Forced closures of schools and colleges have also been reported across tehsils of Rawalakot and Thorar, including areas such as Dareek, Hussainkot, Khaigala, Banjosa, Dothan, and Jandala.
