Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged engineering universities to reform their curriculum in view of the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and the market demands of the country.

He made these remarks while chairing a meeting of Vice Chancellors of Pakistan’s engineering universities, representatives of the engineering industry, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Engineering Council and the Institution of Engineers Pakistan in Islamabad .

He said today’s world values skilled human resources than mere armchair scientists or degree holders. He said engineering universities need to equip students with the modern day technology and accustom them with the technical knowledge and skills.
