ISLAMABAD: Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman, while taking notice of the issuance of office orders by head of KMC run hospitals, medical institutes and other sections for transfer/posting and relieving of officials including doctors and paramedical staff without having any authority or valid reason, directed the Sr. director Medical and Health Services that henceforth such orders will be issued only with the permission of the Authority and through the Department of Human Resource Management.

In this regard, all the heads of departments of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation have been through a circular instructed that necessary measures being taken to manage the available manpower of KMC to perform the normal duties in different departments in a befitting manner. However, it has been noted that some heads of the department are issuing orders for transfer and posting of officers and other staff without any authority for and reason or in a violation of the rules and regulations.

Therefore, the Senior Director Medical and Health Services, KMC, has been directed to ensure avoid transfer and posting of officers and staff apart from the office memorandum issued for medical institution, hospital, department regarding assignment of powers and if there is a need for transfer and deployment of officers and other personnel including doctors or paramedical staff, then the proposal with major reasons for the same should be sent to the Human Resource Management Department for its approval from the competent authorities as per the procedure.
